Here’s a delicious, easy-to-make ground beef tortilla wrap recipe with seasoned beef, fresh vegetables, cheese, and a creamy sauce. It’s perfect for lunch, dinner, or a quick family meal.
Ingredients
For the Beef Filling
- 500 g ground beef
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- ½ teaspoon chili powder
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
- ¼ cup water
For the Wraps
- 6 large flour tortillas
- 1 cup shredded cheddar or mozzarella cheese
- 1 tomato, diced
- ½ cup lettuce, shredded
- ½ small cucumber, diced
- ¼ cup sliced onion
- Fresh coriander, optional
Quick Sauce
- ½ cup plain Greek yogurt
- 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
1. Cook the onion:
Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and cook for 2–3 minutes until softened.
2. Add the garlic:
Add the minced garlic and cook for about 30 seconds, stirring constantly.
3. Brown the beef:
Add the ground beef to the pan. Break it apart with a wooden spoon and cook until completely browned.
4. Season the beef:
Add paprika, cumin, chili powder, black pepper, and salt. Stir well so the spices coat the beef.
5. Add tomato paste:
Stir in the tomato paste and cook for another minute.
6. Add water:
Pour in the water and stir. Allow the beef mixture to simmer for 3–5 minutes until juicy but not watery.
7. Make the sauce:
In a small bowl, combine Greek yogurt, mayonnaise, lemon juice, garlic powder, and salt. Mix until smooth.
8. Warm the tortillas:
Heat each tortilla in a dry skillet for about 15–20 seconds per side. This makes them soft and easier to roll.
9. Build the wraps:
Place a warm tortilla on a plate. Add a generous spoonful of seasoned ground beef in the center.
10. Add cheese:
Sprinkle shredded cheese over the hot beef so it begins to melt.
11. Add vegetables:
Top with lettuce, tomato, cucumber, and sliced onion.
12. Add sauce:
Drizzle some of the creamy sauce over the filling.
13. Fold the wrap:
Fold the sides inward, then fold the bottom of the tortilla over the filling and roll it tightly upward.
14. Toast the wrap:
For an extra crispy finish, place the rolled wrap seam-side down in a dry skillet. Toast for 1–2 minutes on each side.

Tips for the Best Ground Beef Wraps
- Don’t overcook the beef: Keep it juicy rather than dry.
- Warm the tortillas: Warm tortillas are much easier to fold without cracking.
- Don’t overfill: Too much filling makes the wrap difficult to roll.
- Add cheese while the beef is hot: It melts beautifully into the filling.
- Toast after rolling: A quick pan-toast gives the tortilla a delicious golden, slightly crispy outside.
