Blueberry Greek Yogurt Bites

Blueberry Greek Yogurt Bites

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Greek yogurt
  • 1 cup fresh blueberries
  • 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds, optional

Instructions

1. Prepare the Blueberries

Wash the blueberries thoroughly and pat them dry.

Place them in a bowl and gently mash about half of them with a fork. Leave the remaining blueberries whole for extra texture.

2. Make the Yogurt Mixture

Add the Greek yogurt, honey, and vanilla extract to the mashed blueberries.

Stir until creamy and well combined.

If using chia seeds, stir them in at this stage.

3. Shape the Bites

Line a baking tray or plate with parchment paper.

Using a spoon, place small portions of the yogurt mixture onto the parchment.

Make each bite about 1–2 tablespoons in size.

You can also use a small silicone mold to create neat, uniform bites.

4. Add Extra Blueberries

Press a few whole blueberries gently into the top of each yogurt bite.

This gives the bites a beautiful appearance and adds extra bursts of blueberry flavor.

5. Freeze

Place the tray in the freezer.

Freeze for approximately 2–3 hours, or until the bites are firm.

6. Serve

Remove the bites from the freezer and let them sit for 2–5 minutes before eating.

They should be firm but creamy enough to bite easily.

Tips

Use thick Greek yogurt: Full-fat or strained Greek yogurt creates a creamier texture.

Dry the blueberries well: Excess water can make the bites icy.

Adjust the sweetness: Add more or less honey depending on the sweetness of your blueberries and yogurt.

Use frozen blueberries: They can work too, although fresh blueberries provide a brighter flavor.

Flavor Variations

Blueberry Lemon

Add 1 teaspoon of finely grated lemon zest for a fresh blueberry-lemon flavor.

Blueberry Coconut

Add a tablespoon of unsweetened shredded coconut to the yogurt mixture.

Blueberry Chocolate

Sprinkle a few mini chocolate chips over the bites before freezing.

Mixed Berry

Replace some of the blueberries with chopped strawberries or raspberries.

Storage

Once frozen solid, transfer the yogurt bites to an airtight freezer-safe container or bag.

Separate layers with parchment paper to prevent them from sticking together.

For the best texture and flavor, enjoy them within 2–3 weeks.

Final Result

These Blueberry Greek Yogurt Bites are creamy, fruity, refreshing, and easy to prepare. With tangy Greek yogurt and juicy blueberries in every bite, they make a delicious frozen snack for any time of day.
