🍫 Chocolate Oreo Cream Dessert Cup

Ingredients

For the Chocolate Cream

  • 2 cups cold heavy whipping cream
  • Β½ cup powdered sugar
  • ΒΌ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 100 g melted chocolate, cooled slightly

For the Oreo Cream Layer

  • 1 cup cold heavy whipping cream
  • 3 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • Β½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 8–10 chocolate sandwich cookies, crushed

For the Cookie Layer

  • 12–15 chocolate sandwich cookies
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter

For the Chocolate Topping

  • 100 g chocolate
  • Β½ cup heavy cream

Instructions

1. Prepare the Cookie Crumbs

Place the chocolate sandwich cookies in a food processor and crush them into fine crumbs. You can also put them in a sealed bag and crush them with a rolling pin.

Mix the crumbs with melted butter until they resemble damp sand.

Set aside a few cookie crumbs for decorating.

2. Make the Chocolate Cream

Pour the cold heavy cream into a large mixing bowl.

Add powdered sugar, cocoa powder, and vanilla extract.

Beat with an electric mixer until the mixture becomes thick and fluffy.

Slowly add the cooled melted chocolate and gently mix until completely incorporated.

The result should be a smooth, rich chocolate mousse-like cream.

3. Make the Oreo Cream

In another bowl, whip the cold heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla until soft, fluffy peaks form.

Fold in the crushed chocolate cookies gently.

Don’t overmix, as you want some small cookie pieces throughout the cream.

4. Make the Chocolate Topping

Finely chop the chocolate and place it in a heatproof bowl.

Warm the heavy cream until hot but not boiling.

Pour the hot cream over the chocolate and let it sit for 2–3 minutes.

Stir slowly until you have a smooth, glossy chocolate ganache.

Allow it to cool until slightly thickened.

5. Assemble the Dessert Cups

Use clear plastic cups or small dessert glasses.

Start with a layer of chocolate cream at the bottom.

Add a layer of crushed cookies.

Add a layer of Oreo cream.

Repeat the layers until the cup is nearly full.

For the beautiful swirled appearance shown in the picture, gently spread each layer against the sides of the cup before adding the next layer.

6. Add the Chocolate Topping

Spoon a generous layer of chocolate ganache over the top.

Spread it gently with the back of a spoon.

You can also add a few crushed cookies or chocolate shavings on top.

7. Chill

Place the assembled dessert cups in the refrigerator for at least 2–3 hours.

Chilling allows the layers to become firm and the flavors to blend together.

Tips for the Best Chocolate Dessert

  • Use cold heavy cream for easier whipping.
  • Let melted chocolate cool slightly before mixing it into whipped cream.
  • Don’t overwhip the cream or it can become grainy.
  • Crush some cookies finely and leave some pieces slightly larger for extra texture.
  • For an extra-rich flavor, use dark chocolate in the ganache.
  • Assemble the dessert in clear cups so the chocolate and cream layers are visible.
  • Chill overnight for an even firmer dessert.

Easy Variations

Peanut Butter Chocolate: Add a thin layer of creamy peanut butter between the chocolate and cookie layers.

Mint Chocolate: Add a tiny amount of peppermint extract to the Oreo cream and use mint chocolate cookies.

Strawberry Chocolate: Add thinly sliced strawberries between the layers.

Caramel Chocolate: Drizzle a little caramel sauce between the chocolate cream layers.

Extra Oreo: Add larger chunks of cookies throughout the cream for a stronger cookie flavor.

Storage

Keep the dessert cups covered and refrigerated. They are best enjoyed within 2–3 days. Keep them chilled until ready to serve.

This dessert is rich, creamy, chocolatey, and crunchy, with the combination of chocolate mousse, Oreo cream, and cookie crumbs giving it the same indulgent layered appearance as the dessert in your photo.
